Paper crafting workshop for Poets in Vogue with Decorating Dissidence, 2023.

In collaboration with Poet in the City and Poets in Vogue we took over a room at private members’ club The House of St Barnabas for an evening that reflects on the rich dynamics between poetry and fashion. Participants made their very own wearable craft, inspired by Stevie Smith-inspired collars and poetry rosettes.

Combining poetry with decorative art contributed to the event by translating language into visual and tactile forms. We aimed to foster personal engagement, making poetry more accessible and personal. Additionally, the workshop focused on making historical links to modernism and craft traditions, while encouraging collaboration across artistic disciplines, offering new perspectives on both poetry and craft.
