On virtuosic DIY:

Lucy: “I’m really, especially at the moment trying to push the negotiation of something very virtuosic, something very broken, and messy and DIY […] there’s a politic around that as well, that I feel like life is quite broken. I don’t think it’s slick. I don’t think it is that beautiful, you know, on a big world society scale. And so that, to me, that just that feels more honest and more comfortable and more like what I know”.

Morven: “Pop culture as this throwaway thing is actually the deepest thing about it”

On changing the scale of the show:

Morven: “One thing I was going to say about in relation to the pandemic, is that one thing that we had to do because of the restrictions was rethink the dialogue between set and costume. We had to sort of change the scale of things. Last year, we could work with small things that we had to change to do with the our connection with the audience and stuff like that”
