From the 2nd-4th November 2017, we held an exhibition of contemporary artists who use private craft as public protest. Taking place at The Art Pavilion in Mile End, we took craft, decorative arts & design as a starting point as artists explored how dissident action has been woven into their artistic practices.

Workshops by the fantastic Embellished Talk and Liminal Spaces. The exhibition and workshops were generously supported by Queen Mary’s Centre for Public Engagement.

Artists exhibiting included:

L-R, Top-Bottom: Caroline Derveaux, Sofia Salazar, Sharon Haward, Olivia Domingos, Ellen Angus, Wajiha Akhtar, Yasmina Aoun, Nicole Chui, Mashail Faqeeh, Frankie Strand, Angela Groundwater, Lili Murphy-Johnson, Rebeckah Kemi Apara
